Last Friday, the Interns and I returned from our legislative study tour to Washington DC. We are healthy but will voluntarily self-isolate for two weeks, as per Canadian public health authorities’ directives to Canadians returning from abroad. During this time, Interns will work on their academic research papers and other projects. We will still enjoy our weekly “PIP Caucus,” albeit by teleconference.
We would like to thank the U.S. Congressional Fellows for their wonderful hospitality during our time in DC. We also appreciate the support and guidance of all PIP stakeholders, particularly Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA) President Prof. Barbara Arneil, CPSA Executive Director Dr. Silvina Danesi, the House of Commons Administration, our MPs, and the board of the Parliamentary Internship Alumni Association.
